I had to replace the
power steering gear box and the pump that came with the Scout as
both were leaking. The mechanic that installed the gear box
originally used short bolts and since the pattern was different
from the original manual box, it was impossible to get to the back
side nuts as they were inside the frame. I ended up cutting
the bolt heads off, drilling through the back side of the frame
rail and installing long bolts so the nuts were accessible.
