Power steering from
a Scout II was installed in the Scout by the previous owner.
I personally prefer manual steering for its simplicity and
reliability but here it is. The pump and the steering box
are Saginaw units and when traveling down a rough trail, having
power steering really helps damp out the feedback through the
steering wheel and reduces the work load on the driver.
