The engine is the
IHC 304 CI V8 which was Internationals standard truck engine.
It is a low RPM, high torque engine for pulling heavy loads.
It has a two barrel Holley carb on top and is as solid as they
come. Not to be confused with the AMC 304, the International
engines were known for their reliability and longevity, usually
going many hundreds of thousands of miles before requiring any
real work.
