Fuel Tanks

Standard configuration for the first generation Scouts (80,800.800A,800B) were two saddle tanks located in front of the rear wheels.  They each held around 10 gallons.  There is a manual valve located near the drivers door on the floor that allows selection of the left or right tank.  A switch on the panel allows the driver to monitor the fuel level in either tank.  One must make sure that the tank selected on the floor is the same that is being shown on the gauge, however.
